ARM Cortex-A9 Designs
Complete end-to-end ARM Cortex-A9 Designs based on the ARM Cortex-A9 Architecture covering Hardware Design, Embedded Applications, BSP & Firmware, Design for Manufacturability and Product Lifecycle Support for designing high-performance consumer and enterprise portable products.
OVERVIEW
The ARM Cortex-A9 Architecture is highly optimized for high performance, power efficient mobile devices. The configurability and flexibility of the ARM Cortex-A9 Architecture allows developers to scale across a wide range of embedded applications. The ARM Cortex-A9 Architecture and Designs have been incorporated by most leading SoCs, such as TI OMAP4 and AM1x processors, Apple A5 & A5X, NXP i.MX6, Renesas Electronics EMMA Mobile/EV2, Xilinx Extensible Processing Platform, Altera SoC FPGA, Samsung Exynos 4210, 4212, 4412, among others. The ARM Cortex-A9 Architecture offers an ideal price performance ratio for sophisticated HMI and imaging solutions. It is a scalable architecture and offers up to four cores and sub-systems for graphics and video.
ARM Cortex-A9 Architecture
The ARM Cortex-A9 Architecture features a dual-issue, partially out-of-order pipeline and a flexible system architecture with configurable caches and system coherency using the ACP port. The ARM Cortex-A9 designs achieves a better than 50% performance over the Cortex-A8 processor based designs in a single-core configuration. Mistral’s Product Engineering Division has extensive expertise on the ARM Cortex-A9 designs having developed several embedded product designs based on the TI OMAP4 and i.MX6 from NXP (earlier Freescale). Mistral offers multiple SOMs and development platforms that support the ARM Cortex-A9 Architecture Designs like the i.MX6 Nano SOM. and AM437x POM.
Mistral also designs and develops custom add-on modules for ARM Cortex-A9 Architecture based development platforms to enable various interfaces (WiFi, Bluetooth, Camera, CAN, UART, GPS, DSI, CSI, LCD display with touchscreen, MFi, ADCs, DACs, I2C, SPI, Profi-Bus, EtherCAT) on the product. This helps product developers prototype and test new features on the ARM Cortex-A9 Architecture based development platform or EVM that they would like to add to their end product; before building a custom form factor design of the product.
