Overview

The VPX/VME liquid-cooled chassis from Mistral is a cutting-edge solution tailored for advanced aerospace and military applications. Characterized by its ability to effectively manage thermal loads while maintaining high-performance computing capabilities, this chassis is specifically designed to accommodate either VPX and VME form factor boards, providing compatibility with a wide range of ruggedized computing modules commonly used in defense systems.

At the core of this chassis is a sophisticated liquid cooling system, which offers superior thermal management compared to traditional solutions. The system utilizes a network of coolant channels integrated within the chassis structure to efficiently dissipate heat generated by the electronic loads. Quick disconnect coupling (QDC) is employed in the chassis allowing easy connection and disconnection of coolant lines in a fast and convenient way, without spillage. This ensures that critical system components remain within their specified temperature limits, even in demanding operating environments characterized by high ambient temperatures or prolonged use.

The chassis has a ruggedized structure, built to withstand harsh conditions such as shock, vibration, and extreme temperatures commonly encountered in aerospace and military applications. Its robust design includes sealed enclosures to protect internal components from environmental contaminants, moisture, and electromagnetic interference (EMI), ensuring reliable operation in the field.
