Mistral and Altera organized a seminar on “Advancing Mission-Critical Applications with Altera’s Direct RF FPGA” on Tuesday, March 4, 2025.
The event commenced with an address by Mr. D. Murali Krishnan, CEO of Mistral, setting the stage for the day. Dr. B. K. Das, DG ECS, DRDO, enriched the event with a keynote address, emphasizing the importance of industry collaboration in strengthening Defense programs and India’s role in shaping the evolving global technology landscape. Dr. Sampath Ravinarayanan, Chairman – AXISCADES Group, graced the occasion with his distinguished presence. This was followed by Sharadhi Babu, President of Defense Business at AXISCADES, who outlined the company’s strategic vision and technology roadmap for the defense sector.
Mr. John Sotir, General Manager of the Defense, Aerospace, and Government Business Unit at Altera, delivered a compelling technology keynote on “Accelerating Defense Designs with Altera FPGAs & Direct RF Technology.” This was followed by an in-depth session on the Agilex 9 RF FPGA Series by Altera experts Balaji Maddina and Rushikesh, featuring live demonstrations.
A key highlight of the seminar was the launch of Mistral’s cutting-edge 3U VPX SOSA™-Aligned Processing Cards, featuring the Altera Agilex™ 9 Direct RF FPGA. Vijay Bharat, CDO, and Manikandan C, CTO, officially unveiled Mistral’s 3U VPX Processing Module based on the Agilex 9 Direct RF FPGA. They, along with Satyanarayana S, GM RF and MW, provided a detailed technical overview of the product.
The seminar reaffirmed Mistral’s commitment to driving innovation in mission-critical solutions, fostering collaboration, and pushing the boundaries of defense technology.
