Data Capture and Playback for mmWave Radars

The DCP1000 is a compact and user-friendly Data Capture and Playback Card for mmWave Radars applications, built on the Lattice Nexus platform and featuring the CertusPro-NX with upto 100K logic cells & DDR4 support. This versatile Radar Data Capture Card offers low power consumption, high reliability, and a small footprint, making it an ideal solution for radar applications.

Designed for real-time Radar data capture and streaming, DCP1000 captures Raw ADC Data from various mmWave radar modules over LVDS and streams the converted data to a host PC over Gigabit Ethernet, ensuring high-speed and low-latency data handling. Additionally, it supports HIL (Hardware-in-the-Loop) playback functionality through its 8-bit DMM/Trace interface, enabling seamless radar data processing, Calibration and testing workflows.

Software Features

Radar Firmware

The radar firmware on mmWave Radar modules supports the following functions:

Record

Transfers raw data over the LVDS interface for capture. Receives raw ADC data from the Digital Front End, performs FFT operations to compute Range, Angle, and Velocity, and sends the processed data to the host PC via UART or CAN interface.

Playback

Accepts playback data through the DMM interface, performs FFT operations for Range, Angle, and Velocity, and transfers the processed data to the host PC via UART or CAN interface.

Radar Configuration

Enables the setup and customization of radar parameters.

The Qt-based Host Application  (PC GUI) of the DCP 1000 EVM supports the following functions:
