Mistral’s hardware team has the experience to design ruggedized solutions that meet the stringent requirements of real-time systems for the most demanding defense, aerospace, industrial, transportation, and communications applications. The team has a decade-long experience in the design of fully rugged sub-systems, conforming to the strict standards of CEMILAC, BELLCORE, NEBS, IEEE and ANSI/VITA.

Mistral has developed several rugged embedded systems to survive in harsh environmental conditions with extended temperature, vibration and EMI specifications. These designs can regularly withstand up to 30 g, and function in operating temperatures ranging from -40ºC to +75ºC.

Based on customer requirements, the hardware designs go through:

  • Extensive analysis for
    • Signal integrity
    • Impedance control
    • Reduced system debug time
    • Signal quality
    • Ground plane utilization
    • Power Analysis for battery management
    • Effective clock distribution
    • Thermal performance
  • Component choices and design guidelines for
    • MIL-STD 461C/D/E, MIL-STD 810-D, MISRA compliance
    • FCC, UL certification, CE Marking
    • Conformance to CEMILAC, JSS and IEC945
    • RoHS and WEEE compliant
