The High-speed Encoder from Mistral is a high performance audio encoding and decoding system. This high performance Digital Audio platform is a function rich, customizable Reference Design for high-speed audio encode / decode applications, suitable for the Automotive/Consumer markets. The High-speed Encoder supports a variety of storage media including USB, HDD, CD (Serial CD Loader and ATAPI) and SD/MMC. The High-speed Encoder is based on Texas Instruments TMS320DA708/707 DSP.

Mistral’s High-speed Encoder gives system designer’s a head-start towards development of high reliability audio recorders at low cost and get their product-to-market faster. The reference design is jointly owned and marketed by Texas Instruments and Mistral.
